Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
He became involved in his profession because he started working as an instructor. He had a great deal of empathy for his students, and he wanted to give back. Eventually, he worked his way up to his current position.
Extended Bio Profile:
Mr. MacGregor has 30 years of experience in postsecondary education. Before attaining his current position, he has worked as an instructor, chief instructor, associate dean and acting dean of the School of Transportation. As the MC of the BCAA organizing committee, Mr. MacGregor does weekend news pieces for global television.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Reporting to the dean; Procuring industry services contracts, international training agreements, and manufacturer partnerships; Serving as a liaison with industry training organizations and the Industry Training Authority concerning matters that affect the delivery of school programming; Developing high-level advisory councils
Where Will You Be In 5 Years:
In five years, Mr. MacGregor intends to continue working in his current position, and employ a consolidated approach that pulls together manufacturers and corporations to increase involvement in the industry.
