Ms. Byrd developed the passport home program: when patients are airlifted to another facility and want to come back, a packet and ticket are provided to them so they can sign for return. She attends conferences and health fairs. She also makes backpacks for children.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Coordinating and pre-screening patients for rehabilitation by looking at records; Ensuring patients meet Medicaid and Medicare requirements and guidelines; Arranging transportation for patients; Overseeing productivity and staffing to ensure proper coverage of patients; Traveling to Arizona, Nevada and California to inform hospitals about services by introducing herself and delivering brochures

In five years, Ms. Byrd hopes to either continue working in the health care field or go back to real estate.
