She is separated from her peers because of her care and concern for the children, parents and staff, as well as the compassion she shows them. She listens first and then takes action.
What has been the most outstanding thing you have done thus far in your career?:
The most gratifying aspect of her career is when her former students return to express how she has impacted their lives.
Just recently, a student from 12 years ago returned to the school after his duty in Iraq to visit her.
How would you like to be remembered by your peers?:
She would like to be remembered by her peers as an individual who entered her profession because she was dedicated to the success of her students and staff and made a difference in their lives.
If you could solve one problem in the world today, what would it be?:
If she could solve one problem in the world today she would ensure that every child reached their highest potential and every child everywhere receives an education.
If you could have lunch with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be and why?:
If she could have lunch with anyone, dead or alive, she would choose her stepfather, Keener Glass, who was the only father she ever knew and who made a tremendous impact on her.

She became involved in her profession through the influence of the wonderful teachers she had in her youth; she knew that she wanted to become a teacher since third grade.
