She became involved in her profession after working with the Arkansas Canoe Club and advocating against the building of a dam; she served on the state task force and helped spur the highest level of community involvement in over 30 years.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Doss grew up in the Ozarks and fell in love with the forests and streams. She was a public school psychologist for 15 years and was involved with testing for learning disabilities. For two years, she taught mathematics and science. She also spent another year as a community college adjunct professor.

Volunteering for environmental work through several organizations; Consulting on environmental issues; Writing reports on gas drilling in central Arkansas
