She would have lunch with her two sons, who are now deceased, to let them know how proud she was of them and their accomplishments. They were good young men, and she didn't take enough time to let them know when it really mattered.
Expanded Biography:
One of Ms. Higginbotham's favorite quotes is "I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow." Having lost her youngest son, Brent, to a tragic auto accident in 1993, and her other child, Michael, to cancer in 2007, strengthened her faith in God, and made her a much stronger person.
Also, what a gift she was given, as a mother, having held both of them, at birth, and each one of them as they took their last breath on this Earth. May this extended biography be dedicated in their memory.

The highlight of her career was being featured in a national magazine, The Mortgage Originator.

She became involved in her profession after working as a receptionist and loan processor trainee, which evolved into a permanent career in mortgage lending.
