Ms. Christian has, with only a high school diploma and God's help, learned all that she needed to progress in her career from a secretary to a project manager in just 13 years. She strives to make a difference in the lives of people who need it and is gratified to help Ascension Health as a whole improve health care across the U.S.

Throughout the duration of your career, what was the one highlight that stood out the most?:
The most gratifying aspects of her career include working with her team members as a family, instead of individual people. She feels that empowering her team members to help themselves is very rewarding, and each project that comes to fruition is an accomplishment for all of them as well as for the patients. In addition, Ms. Christian finds the personal knowledge that she has aided in caring for the sick and needy, even in a very small capacity, very rewarding.

She attributes her success to God, the many things she learned from her family, and perseverance. In addition, she credits her determination, perfectionism, desire to excel, ability to think outside of the box, and patience.

She became involved in her profession after starting her career as a secretary and working her way up the corporate ladder.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Christian has a strong background in the documentation of policies, procedures and visual presentations in an effort to educate others on how their actions affect both upstream and downstream executives. She is a project manager for Ascension Health, which is transforming health care by providing the highest quality care to all, paying special attention to the poor and vulnerable. It is the nation's largest nonprofit Catholic health system, and the third-largest system based on revenues. As a project manager, she was responsible for the information technology portion of bringing the 119 health facilities live, as well as being a major participant in 13 core application changes in 2004. She has also implemented and administrated the materials management application and business intelligence applications. She has been at the hospital through many of its changes, some of which are ongoing. She thinks the hospital's job of taking care of patients will never be completed because its parent company, Ascension Health, is always striving to find new and better ways to give the best care to patients at all of its facilities.

Ensuring all projects are completed on time; Conducting proper team staffing; Writing reports in Microsoft SQL; Creating data transformation services (DTS) packages for importation into business intelligence software, including HBI and Hyperion, for usage in reporting for upper management
