Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
I became involved in HR after obtaining my MBA. It is a great way to blend strong business acumen and a desire to help people. I firmly believe that employees are the most valuable asset any organization possesses.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Providing all facets of human resource work. Overseeing the design, development and implementation of programs and initiatives in the areas of total compensation, employee relations, global payroll and HR administration and systems implementation and integration. Ensuring compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations in each country of operation.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Design, develop and administer a total compensation strategy and program that attracts and retains quality staff globally in support of organizational growth
- Execution of annual planning processes for succession planning, workforce planning and staff movement
- Execution of new country entry requirements including the timely setup of payroll service providers, ensuring accurate payment to staff, service providers and local authorities globally
- Create a culture within the ER and Total Compensation organizations that is motivated to improve processes and drive out costs of administration
- Work closely with executives and directors advising them on the people implications of business plans and execution of those plans
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that fully comply with all applicable laws in all jurisdiction globally
- Define and manage employee relations programs (colleague and manager counseling, complaints, exit interviews, employee assistance) to ensure compliance with policies and practices and to mitigate risks associated with complaints and departure of influential staff members
- Develop a strategy and roadmap for the implementation and integration of HR Systems that ensure the scalability of the business while reducing the complexity and cost
- Act as the functional lead for merger and acquisition activities, coordinating the support of the HR team to support a timely assessment, closing and integration process
