Ms. Capurso's personal dedication and passion she developed for teaching reading long before she earned her degree as a specialist are what separates her from her peers.
What has been the most outstanding thing you have done thus far in your career?:
Ms. Capurso' greatest career achievement is living by the philosophy that her job is making a great impact on people's lives. In many fields, a mistake can be made and later on erased. In her field, she is dealing with human beings and realizes that she is making decisions that will influence the lives of children forever.
Highlight of career?:
The most gratifying aspect of her career is working in a field where her impact is not immediately known, yet feeling the rewards later on when a student returns to thank her for the impact she made in their lives. She feels especially rewarded when a parent credits their child's love for reading to her.
