What has been the most outstanding thing you have done thus far in your career?:
My greatest career achievement was carrying palatal expansion a step further and perfecting the nonsurgical treatment of cl III malocclusions.

I have been an extern in oral surgery in Harlem Hospital in 1995 before being called into the United States Army to be served to the rank of Captain with two years of active and six years of reserve service. I served on the community board of Jewish Education as president, as vice president of the Port Chester Community Center, as a board member of Congregation KTI and as an international delegate for Alpha Omega in Seattle, WA, Fort Lauderdale, FL, Tel Aviv, Israel and Jerusalem, Israel.

Extended Bio Profile:
Dr. Okun perfected the non-surgical method of repositioning the maxilla on the cranial base for class III malocclusions for which he was awarded the Joseph E. Johnson Table Clinic Award. He has received the America's Top Dentist Award. Dr. Okun has been in charge of the United Fund drive for the Jewish community center for four years and has work for the Anti-Defamation League.
