Highlight of career?:
I have had many highlights, my career has been my life's mission . I worked at the bedside for approximately half of my careeer because I felt that was my "calling". After years of bedside nursing I felt I needed a change for me as well as my family, so I decided to teach, I don't know which I enjoyed most the bedside or teaching both were Very rewarding, The plus with teaching was I still continued bedside nursing just as instructor. After 3 yrs our funding for the program was cancelled,
that's when I discovered Utilization Review. Through the years Utilization Review has evolved into Casemanagement, I also enjoyed the payor (insurance) side Managed Care, I even tried Director of Casemanagement (Interim). Now here I am still at Methodist Healthcare presently the Appeals Coordinator (Appeals and Denials ). I have found that in the many facets of nursing my mission is still the same, God has given me many many ways to help patients, students, and my employers. And I thank HIM for these opportunities
