She was approached by Jack Bayt and Jack Hawkins, owner of A-Classic Expo Design to start an expo section of their business, BRI Incorporated, so that his employees could have work during off-season periods. Along with Tom Jenkins, owner for Exhibit City News, these people served as her mentors and helped her to keep up with changes in the industry trends.

As a woman in the industry, she does not look at obstacles as barriers, but rather as how she can work through them as a challenge. She advises other women who want to enter her industry to give themselves the time to learn the system and determine how they can fit into it, rather than try and change the world. One of Ms. Campbell's techniques is to always give members he cell phone number so that she is accessible to customers and they can rely on her.
