She attributes her success to her hard work, determination and to the love and support she received from her mentor, friend and her mother who taught her values and morals that inspired her to become a great teacher and a woman of excellence.

She became involved in her profession because she was influenced by her mother, who helped her to pursue her dream.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Hazlett has taught home economics in three Pennsylvania school districts. She has experienced in writing grants and is involved in a pilot program for the final selection of a math curriculum for second and third-grade students. She has participated in a number of committee meetings and coaches cheerleading, basketball and field hockey teams. She has also taught home economics at Abington School District and Penn-Delco School District. She is currently mentoring a student teacher. She is preparing students PSSA and has experience in writing grants. She also presented career day at Pennell Elementary School in 1998 and 1999.
