Key programs include the Curry BizCamp in Entrepreneurship for inner-city and at-risk youth, business planning and the Prairie Centre for Business Intelligence. The Curry BizCamp was launched in 1998 and is designed to teach inner-city and at-risk youth how to develop a positive mental attitude using the basic principles of business and entrepreneurship. This program has been expanded to two other Canadian provinces and will soon be launched in Israel. A version of this program has also been created for more mainstream youth between the ages of 10 to 12. The Asper Centre maintains an active business planning program. More importantly, seven new businesses have launched based on this program in such areas as medical devices, agricultural equipment, information technology and computer generated graphics. Together these firms employ over 250 people across Canada and are valued at over 75 million dollars.
