My experience separates me from others in this industry. I am entering into my 45th year in education, having been in the field since 1963. I started out by teaching chemistry courses to high school students and progressed through the positions of guidance counselor and Director of Pupil Services, before entering the Pennsylvania Department of Education as a pupil services advisor. I have taught at four universities in the fields of psychology and counseling.
What has been the most outstanding thing you have done thus far in your career?:
Obtaining passage of a new regulation mandating all educational entities in Pennsylvania to develop a written plan for student services. This went into effect in December 2005 as Chapter 12 Pennsylvania State Board of Education Regulations.
