Ms. Flohr's greatest career achievements were directing and developing the Center for Special Problems, running the private provider network of mental health professionals at San Fransisco in California and creating the Expressions Gallery and the Expressions Gallery Arts and Educational Center in Berkeley, California.

Ms. Flohr would like to have lunch with the inspired visionaries of the past and present, Albert Einstein and Barack Obama, who have gained success in attaining their visions and their passions, resulting in the advancement of society.

The most gratifying aspects of her career are operating the Center for Special Problems and fighting for the survival of its services for victims of violence, and developing and running the Expressions Gallery successfully.

She attributes her success to her ability to follow her passion and willingness to learn.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession because she developed a genuine interest in theater arts, psychodrama and social work.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Flohr worked in New York's theater arts industry in the 1960s doing lighting design, theater production and performance. She later used her theater skills to work with families and individuals with mental illnesses and developmental disabilities. She used her expertise in psychodrama to train individuals working in the mental health fields and assist institutional change from state hospitals around the country. She eventually became the director of the Center for Special Problems in San Francisco and later served as the assistant director of the City and County of San Francisco Community Behavioral Health Services. She has also worked as an interior architect and designer with Design Ideas. She has established unique programs for the mental health treatment of individuals with various problems not previously addressed by the community including victims of violence, trans-gender individuals, homosexuals and perpetrators of physical and sexual abuse. She also implemented new interventions and treatment approaches for individuals with drug and alcohol addictions, violence issues and developmental disabilities.
