Dr. Stricklin greatest career achievement was being recognized at Ohio University College of Arts and Sciences for her achievements in education and winning the Daniel W. Martin Award, honoring science as a Christian Vocation by the Presbyterian Association of Science, Technology and the Christian Faith.

Dr. Stricklin has been recognized at Ohio University College of Arts and Sciences for her achievements in education. She won the Daniel W. Martin Award in 1998. She has been honored by the Christian Vocation Award in Science by the Presbyterian Association of Science, Technology and the Christian Faith in 1998.She retired as a chemistry teacher in 2004 from Oak Hills High School and is an online tutor (1990-Present). She has a sister named Martha.
