What has been the most outstanding thing you have done thus far in your career?:
Dr. Brown's greatest career achievement was being asked by the Gaston College planning committee to conduct research on the school’s history. This was for the celebration of their 40th anniversary. She was also asked to create an accompanying pictorial timeline demonstrating the growth of the college. The research display was placed in the library.
Highlight of career?:
The most gratifying aspect of her career is being able to help her students and faculties with their research.

Extended Bio Profile:
Dr. Brown was the first professional African-American staff employee at Gaston College. She has also worked four years in the public school system as a high school librarian and an elementary teacher. She has been stated by the press headlines that she is 'more than a librarian.' She has the vast knowledge in know how to retrieve information that is useful to patrons when and where needed.
