She became involved in her profession after developing a passion for hairdressing when she was 15 years old and started completing hairstyles for high school events. As a result, she won a scholarship for cosmetology school, which propelled her to pursue further studies.

Ms. Raven has completed 27 hair styles that were specially created for DeBora Rachelle. She is also a noted designer of clothing and evening gowns for runways in New York. She also conducts mock interviews with upcoming graduates and has participated in local fashion shows and makeovers. In addition, she offers her services to local high schools and community theater groups to complete hairstyles for many plays.
Ms. Raven attended cosmetology school two weeks after her high school graduation. She then got a job at an established salon in her city after graduating at the top of her class. After moving to another city to manage a salon for a local owner, she eventually purchased a home and created a salon in one of the adjacent rooms. Ms. Raven continues to work a 40 hour work week while offering all services, including styling, nails, color, cuts, perms and all skin care options. The business has a continually growing data base of services and clients.
Ms. Raven's three daughters have carved out careers of their own. Her oldest daughter is married and is a doctor of pharmacy at a clinic, while her middle daughter is a fashion stylist for the Home Shopping Network and runs her own image consulting business.
