I got involved in my profession because my high school counselor said I would be a great Accountant and had me take some accounting courses. I then went to a two-year college for Accounting, achieved a 4.0 average and a scholarship towards a four year degree. I took additional Accounting courses and was very interested in Auditing. My first full-time position was as an Internal Auditor, which I absolutely loved because you were able to help make a difference and you were the owner of your success.
