What has been the most outstanding thing you have done thus far in your career?:
Ms. Orr's greatest career achievements was writing books that are a legacy and that will remain after she is gone and establishing the scholarship fund award to high school seniors in her church for leadership.
Expanded Biography:
Ms. Orr studied piano under Leo Siroto at St. Louis Conservatory and under Jon Nelson, a student of Claudio Arrau. She has taught over 500 students, many of whom have become teachers. She has also published two major books. The first is an intensive study of the origination of the Scots-Irish starting with James Orr born in 1580 and who emigrated from Scotland to Ireland in the early 17th century. Subsequently, his descendants led the emigration to the American colonies in 1728 and fought in the American Revolution. The second book, 'Early Settlers in Texas and Oklahoma', is an in-depth portrait of 17 family lines, their part in the early development of several state and all of their descendants. This book speaks of family lines that extend back to royalty and explains how most of us can claim legitimate descent from royalty. She is currently putting together a collection of funny stories found in the field of genealogy. Ms. Orr has done promotional work and fund raising for the Miss America Corporation for scholarships and has established an annual scholarship for leadership for high school seniors in her own church. She was selected for the planning committee for building a music wing onto her church and also sings in the chancel choir which tours world-wide. Ms. Orr is currently a consultant for Mary Kay.

Ms. Orr has written two books on history entitled 'Orr Family of Scott's-Irish Origin', 'Early Settler in Texas and Oklahoma'. She is a part of the building and planning committee in her church and has also worked for the Miss America Corporation and has helped to raise money for the local Miss Metro Crest Organization.
