How Did They Get Involved In Profession:
She became involved in her profession because she was inspired by family members who worked in the education field. Her mother and aunt were teachers, three of her brothers are/were University lecturers and a Headteacher and her sister teaches singing.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Warner published an E-book entitled 'An Introduction to Multiple Intelligences.' She has also published 78 full-length Ofsted inspection reports and three short Ofsted inspection reports. Published chapters in longer books include 'Reflections on Inspections,' in 'Education for Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural Development,' and 'Headteachers: Perceptions of their role in Spiritual Education' in 'Education Spirituality and the Whole Child.' She has worked as a primary class teacher where no child left her class unable to read, and made contributions both in school and the community. As a mature student, she studied for a master’s degree in education and had her dissertation accepted for publication. She has also carried out action research on spelling, handwriting and word processing skills, Internet research and multiple intelligences. She was head teacher of a primary school for ten years during the regeneration of Isle of Dogs in London. She was also the head of the department in three secondary and secondary special schools. As a registered inspector for eight years, she led teams across England, and was recognized by head teachers of the schools she inspected as being fair and supportive. Ms. Warner is also a teacher trainer. She has supervised students on teaching practice in the United Kingdom and, employed by CfBT Education Trust, she has trained teachers in Qatar. She has written and led workshops on multiple intelligences across India including Amritsar, Assam, Bangalore, New Delhi and Mumbai, working in partnership with The Achievers' Programme. In 2008, she contributed to the fourth year course for student teachers at Sétif University in Algeria. Ms. Warner has also supervised teachers in training in London schools and has been one of the tutors on an induction course for European teachers run by the Roehampton Institute and ILEA. She has taught in Australia and made educational visits in Brussels, Malaysia, New Guinea, Malta and South Africa. In 2007, she was invited to take part in educational research by The National Foundation for Educational Research. She also qualified as a New Insights Life Coach, to help others achieve their own goals in life. Since 2006, she has been an assessor of higher level teaching assistants in the United Kingdom, alternating with her international consultancy commitments.
