She attributes her success to her faith in God and loving her teaching. She became involved in the profession due to her own children who inspired her to pursue the academic area and help other children. The most gratifying aspect of her career is seeing her students become successful. In November 2006, she became a member of 'Experience Works,' a senior community service employment program. She registered New Life in Christ Jesus Ministry in 2003 and chartered it in 2007. New Life in Christ Jesus Ministry presented two awards of recognition and two scholarships in 2007. The Ministry is also sponsoring a 'Summer Outreach-Bible Enhancement' program for the children of the community. From time to time, she conducts an adult bible class at the Salvation Army.
