She became involved in her profession to educate students and ensure that all students regardless of their cultural, ethnic or social economic background, receive the best possible education.
Extended Bio Profile:
Dr. Taylor was offered a position at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York. She also started a scholarship program in the name of her late husband to benefit children at her school. While attending Texas Women's University in the 1960's, she was involved in the desegregation of the university. Dr. Taylor has also been a presenter st several Local, National, and International Conferences such as; Houston Area Bilingual Educators Conference; CPAL 2003 Summer Institute Conference; NCLB National Conference; American Association of School Administrators Annual Conference; National Conference of the National Association of African-American Studies, National Association of Hispanic & Latino Studies, National Association of Native American Studies, International Association of Asian Studies; National Conference of the Association for Advancement of Educational Research; Prairie View A&M University; Texas Southern University Faculty Research Seminar; Clifton Claye Educational Leadership Seminar and Co-Chairman; Distinguished Lecture Series; Houston Area Hospice Organization
