Col. Pena was bestowed with a Kentucky Colonel Commission by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He has also performed and recorded with the 14-time Grammy Award-winning Atlanta Symphony Chorus and the critically acclaimed Virginia Symphony Chorus. He has attended the adjutant general officer basic course, the army band officer course, the training developer middle manager course, the army instructor-training course, the army instructor evaluator-training course, the systems approach to training course, the company level pre-command course, the leader development and assessment course, and the airborne course.
