Extended Bio Profile:
Mr. Voigt retired as lieutenant colonel in 1983. He also taught engineer officers commands and general staff courses and supervised a team of engineers in the writing of about 25 equipment operator manuals. In 1963 he presented an IEEE conference paper on a computerized method of determining the annealing of electrical conductors. He supervised the conversion of several plant records from a manual to a computerized file system and the first system in the company used to calculate crew performance for hundreds of small jobs. He represented the company on the eastern area coordination and reliability committee with about five other large electric companies for several years and published a paper to estimate the effects of severe loading on transmission conductors. He has served on the board of directors and committees at various times.
