What do you feel separates you from the rest of the professionals in your industry?:
Making knowledge come alive, extreme dedication and being gifted is what separates me from other individuals in this profession. I have been told that I am a master teacher with a genuine caring nature toward children. My skills are important but children respond to my love for them as individuals.
What has been the most outstanding thing you have done thus far in your career?:
Some of my greatest achievements, as far as my career goes, include writing a children's book, in 1986, entitled 'Freeman Earns a Bike,' starting a preschool and being inducted into the Who's Who Among America's Teachers for three years in a row. I don't value an event as much as the day to day touching the lives of children from all over the world, giving them a love of learning and skills in math and reading. This gives them self confidence and a foundation for successful lives.
Expanded Biography:
Ms. Rabe is a life-long learner, who strives to pass on a love for learning to her students. She spends time studying with experts in their fields nationally as well as side by side with archaeologists, environmental experts, zoologists and marine biologists. She brings this rich and exciting curriculum back to her students. In order to begin her own tutoring business, she studied under an English language expert who began the Academic Associates Learning Centers. She and her husband tutor students internationally. She taught first through sixth grades, started a preschool, wrote a children's book, and began a tutoring business in reading and math.
Highlight of career?:
The most gratifying aspect of her career is knowing that no matter how much knowledge she amasses, the most important thing to her students is that she truly cares for them and their futures.
