Extended Bio Profile:
Dr. Castillo was exposed to alternative therapy. His thoughts about medical practice are best represented by a quote that reads: 'treat patients, not illnesses.' This was told by one of his professors, Dr. Dante Ollervides. He has traveled throughout United States, Canada and other countries conducting seminars about chronic illness and his personal experiences. He believes in the use of a combination of alternative and traditional medicine for the achievement of optimal health. He feels truly blessed to have the opportunity to work in both alternative and conventional medicine by creating a complementary medicine. He is very up-to-date on advances in both traditional and alternative medicine. He says that 'many people die of heart attacks and strokes without knowing in fact that there are other alternatives.' The goal of therapies that he uses is to stop progression of the disease and once doing that the next goal is to reverse as much damage as possible. He and his clinic have dedicated themselves for the last 24 years to treating chronic patients and his goal is to prolong life as much as possible, having in mind the quality of life. He also considers educating his patients to be very important, so that they can become allies in the management of their health.
