Ms. Gann's greatest career achievement was being sent by the training office at San Francisco State College to meet with congress members and high ranking officials at the Department of Health and the Department of Agriculture to negotiate a deal for children to receive food rebates through the Head Start program and Medi-Cal dental funds.

Ms. Gann would like to be remembered as someone who thought creatively and was able to use multiple resources in new and creative ways and put them together in order to serve the diverse needs of low income people.

Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Gann has been very successful in helping low income earners throughout her life. Through the Medi-Cal program, she helped many children receive the dental care that they needed. Through research and her experiences, she has learned that dental care is the greatest medical need among low income children. The need is even greater than anemia or diabetes in low income children.
