Mr. Seitz concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial bankruptcy, admiralty and maritime law and commercial litigation. He works currently at Rawle and Henderson, which, founded as the Rawle Law Offices in 1783, has been recognized as the oldest law firm in continuous practice in the United States.
Prior to joining Rawle and Henderson on July 1, 2006, he was with The Bayard Firm in Wilmington. Before that he was a partner in the Philadelphia firm of Palmer, Biezup and Henderson. Gary now serves as a Chapter Seven Panel Trustee and a Chapter 11 Trustee in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, as well as Trustee in Chapters Seven and 11 in cases pending in the Delaware Bankruptcy Court.
Mr. Seitz has extensive experience in handling admiralty and maritime litigation and transactions, with particular emphasis on marine financing and vessel foreclosures. He was involved in the foreclosure of the mortgage on the SS United States and has has published a number of articles on diverse maritime law subjects. In addition to his maritime practice, he also has extensive experience in the handling of both maritime and non-maritime related bankruptcy matters for creditors, asset purchasers and trustees.
