Director Earle Lee has been recognized by the Florida Department of Criminal Justice for his outstanding leadership throughout the state. Because of his reputation for leadership associated with The Boys' Choir of Tallahassee he has appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show and received her honorary Use Your Life Award, along with a grant of $150,000. The choir also received tuxedos from Perry Ellis and will be performing for a Perry Ellis event in Manhattan this year. Due to his excellent leadership skills, the choir has excelled and was asked to perform for Pope John Paul II in Italy. Mr. Lee would like to set up more Boys and Girls Choirs in Louisiana, Georgia, Los Angeles, Trinidad and Tobago. Disney is also doing a documentary on his life and the Boys' Choir.
