Ms. Enrico-Janik was the first woman in the state of Indiana to be nominated and elected President of the Health Systems Agency, which authored one of the first patients’ bill of rights for the state. As the lead writer for one of twenty-eight national grants funded by Temple University, which develops state coalitions to ensure that people with developmental disabilities have equal access to the criminal justice system, Ms. Enrico-Janik strongly supports programs which stress coordination with local, state, and federal governments as well as the representatives of the 'grass roots' community.
