What do you feel separates you from the rest of the professionals in your industry?:
I believe that I have a great deal of staying power. When things get tough, I get stronger and stick it out for the long haul. This gives me longevity, which in turn offers up the opportunity to make a difference.
What has been the most outstanding thing you have done thus far in your career?:
In April 2006, I was honored by the Arizona Governor's Office of Services for Women and Children with the first Juvenile Justice Task Force Award of Excellence in the social service profession for my commitment to using my profession to improve the lives of families in Arizona.

Ms. Heaton has published three novels including 'The Seminole Way', 'Night Stalks the Gray House' and 'The Dream Suite.' She has also completed a manuscript entitled 'Incident at Quail Crossing,' and is currently working on another for which she is seeking publishing representation. Ms. Heaton has also organized a women's support group for the survivors of domestic violence called Futures without Boundaries, previously known as the Women's Survival Group.
