Cambridge Who’s Who lifetime member Lisa Parker was recently awarded
the Certified Employment Interview Professional (CEIP) Certification from the
Professional Association of Résumé Writers and Career Coaches (PARW/CC) after
completing its CEIP Certification Program. This valuable international
credential is sought after by career coaches, résumé writing
professionals, career counselors and interview trainers as well as corporate
human resource and hiring professionals. It serves as an additional avenue through
which Ms. Parker can provide career development coaching and services to her
clients and help them to attain their professional goals.
The CEIP designation is granted
to PARW/CC members who have undertaken specialized training to prepare their
clients for the critical employment interview. Most job candidates are
convinced that they interview well. However, surveys and studies of human
resource managers and hiring professionals indicate that they feel the average
job seeker does not perform well in the interview process. Candidates
who have practiced their interview skills and are best prepared for these
decisive meetings will be more confident, relaxed and likely to make a positive
impression that leads to the desired job offer.

ending the devastating effects of MS, but it cannot achieve this goal without help
from others. Mr. Hanna is asking fellow Cambridge members to support his
fundraising efforts with a tax-deductible donation.
Mr.Hanna is walking for this cause because of his desire to help those afflicted
by this debilitating disease, and because he would like to do everything in his

is no cure for multiple sclerosis, and with a diagnosis occurring most
frequently between the ages of 20 and 50, many individuals face a lifetime

published Bertha Speaks Out, the
second book in a series that began with My
Name is Bertha. My Name is Bertha addresses how difficult it can be for a girl
growing up when she is overweight or does not excel at sports or dancing. The
moral of the story is that you can be anything that you want to be and no one can
stop you from reaching your goals or dreams. Moreover, it reinforces the fact
that who you are makes you special.
In Bertha Speaks Out,
Bertha learns not to be afraid to speak up in order to defend herself and lets
her voice be heard. She also discovers how to cope with a family member’s
disease when she and her sister Tillie work together to help their family with their
grandmother’s debilitating illness.
Ms. Lewis taught grades one through six in New York City schools for over 30 years.
Later on in her career she became the reading and writing staff developer for
her school. She has been featured in the Bronx Times, and has made television appearances

Cambridge Who’s Who lifetime member Ruth Cooper is a master artist and master painter with Parish Porcelain, a fine art studio located in Fort Collins, Colorado. Porcelain painting has been a passion of hers since childhood, and she has spent most of her adult life striving to master the art form.
Ms. Cooper discovered her love of porcelain while growing up in a children’s home in Germany during World War II. There she had seen hand-painted porcelain pieces from the world famous Meissen porcelain factory. But during those hard times, painting was considered a frivolous pastime that would be of no benefit to her future, so her desire to paint had to be put on hold.
Not until after her college years did Ms. Cooper delve into the world of porcelain painting. She had been unable to complete a china painting course, but continued to study hand-painted antiques from all over the world on her own. Eventually she began attending seminars and classes at porcelain art schools, and has since studied with some of the country’s most renowned porcelain artists. The highlight of her training was to be invited as the first applicant to the Meissen Art School for non-Meissen artists. Ms. Cooper has since been painting porcelain in both American and European styles, and teaching various techniques and gold application processes to students

Cambridge Who’s Who member and author Adora Bayles will appear at a book signing in Sebring, Florida on November 1st, 2008. She will be displaying, signing and selling all four of her novels:
- Wagons South!, the rollicking saga of three American families;
- Children of a Dark Secret, the story of a woman who escapes a brutal marriage to start a new life;
- Golden Siblings, which reveals the emotional turmoil and racial prejudices of a pre-Civil War America; and
- His Fiery Equal, Tale of a Catskinner’s Daughter, where a strong, self-directed woman learns to thrive in a man’s world.
Ms. Bayles has been writing since she was a child, but it was not until she attended her fifty-year high school reunion in Sebring, Florida that she began a serious writing project. The reunion was attended by forty graduating classes, including some of her father's friends who told of his strange adventures. This sparked Adora's literary spirit; she began to write a book about her father, and her first novel started to take shape.

Cambridge Who's Who Member, Mel Wildermuth and his partner, Cris of the Effectiveness Group, LLC have published an article in the January 2008 edition of
T&D magazine titled: "10 Ms of Employee Engagement." The article specifies 10 elements that every company needs to create an engagement-friendly workplace.
Read an excerpt of the article or download the full version.
Experts have defined engagement as a persistent state of work fulfillment. This fulfillment translates into enthusiasm
and passion, higher than average levels of concentration and focus, and an irresistible boost of energy. Indeed, passion, focus, and energy are key components of engagement: Take away any of these factors and engagement suffers.
Engagement is the current battle cry for many management experts. “We’re all about engagement,” one of our clients says. “Engagement is part of our values and training curriculum. We want to make sure our employees, leaders, and customers are engaged.”
There are 10 Ms of engagement to help create engagement-friendly organizations. Nine of these components operate in three separate but deeply connected dimensions: the organization’s culture, the job, and the person. The final factor—the match—connects the dots between culture, job, and personal issues.
